Over the last few weeks I’ve been doing so many things but over the weekend I got to do something really fun (and yet incredibly hard!) with my amazing Fiancé. We started our wedding registry.
We both still live with our parents so thinking about moving in together is really exciting. We also both love to entertain so we think that doing so at our very own place should be twice as fun! Because of this we immediately started the registry with the living room.
The day started out fine, we arrived with the nice lady who gave us the scanner and explained how things worked. We started walking around the aisles of the mall and then… I went for the yellow pillow and he sat in the leather chair!
This kept happening and after 2 hours we had only selected a handfull of tings. We then decided we needed a plan. Because we don’t have our place yet (crazy, I know!) we thought that selecting basic pieces in neutral colors was the way to go. I started browsing Pinterest (my addiction) in search for inspiration and both Robert and I liked the idea of using Gray, White and Navy as our base colors.
I love how bright and modern the Gray and White combo looks in a living room (even a small one!). On the other hand, the pops of Navy make a room look so elegant…

En la última semana he estado haciendo muchísimas cosas pero el fin de semana nos tocó hacer algo sumamente divertido (y aún así muy difícil!) con mi maravilloso prometido: Iniciamos nuestra mesa de regalos.
Ambos seguimos viviendo en casa de nuestros padres así que el pensar en mudarnos justos es muy emocionante! Otra cosa es que a los dos nos encanta recibir visitas así que imaginamos que hacerlo en nuestra propia casa debe ser el doble de diversión! debido a esto iniciamos de inmediato el registro de regalos con la sala.
El día inició muy bien, llegamos con la amable señorita que nos dio el escáner y nos explicó cómo funcionaba todo, comenzamos a caminar entre los pasillos del almacén y entonces… yo caminé directo a los cojines amarillos y él se sentó en la silla reclinable de piel!
Esto siguió pasando y luego de 2 horas habíamos marcado apenas un puñado de cosas. Ahí fue cuando decidimos que necesitábamos un plan. Debido a que aún no tenemos el lugar donde vamos a vivir (loco, lo sé!) pensamos que elegir piezas básicas en tonos neutros era la opción. Yo comencé a buscar en Pinterest (mi adicción) un poco de inspiración y tanto a Robert como a mi nos gustó la idea de utilizar el Gris, Blanco y Azul Marino como nuestros colores base.
Me encanta cómo el combo de Gris y el blanco lucen muy luminoso y moderno (incluso en un espacio pequeño) Por el otro lado, los acentos de Azul Marino hacen que la habitación se vea más elegante…
